Our 12-hour Blended Learning Paediatric First Aid course is designed for professionals working in nurseries, pre-schools, schools, childminding settings and other early years environments. The course meets the requirements of the current Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework and provides the qualification required by those working in regulated childcare settings.

Working in a Forest School setting brings unique challenges. Incidents may happen away from immediate access to medical support, emergency services may take longer to reach you, and injuries can occur in situations involving natural environments, tools, uneven terrain and outdoor activities.

Our specialist Forest School First Aid with Paediatric First Aid course combines EYFS-compliant Paediatric First Aid training with outdoor-specific scenarios, ensuring delegates are prepared for the realities of supporting children in woodland and outdoor learning environments.

The course is designed for Forest School leaders, early years practitioners, outdoor educators, childminders and anyone responsible for children in an outdoor setting.

When an emergency happens outdoors, professional medical help may be some distance away. Having the knowledge and confidence to manage a casualty in a remote environment can make a critical difference.

For over 26 years, Surrey First Aid Training has been delivering practical Outdoor First Aid courses for outdoor instructors, expedition leaders, Duke of Edinburgh Award leaders, forestry workers, scouts, mountain bikers, paddlesport instructors, walkers and anyone responsible for others in the outdoors.

Unlike classroom-based first aid training, this course is delivered predominantly outdoors using realistic casualty simulations and practical scenarios that reflect the environments in which you'll work. You'll learn how to assess, prioritise and manage casualties when emergency services may be delayed or access is limited.

Our Outdoor First Aid course is developed using current guidance from the UK Resuscitation Council together with recognised remote and wilderness medical best practice, ensuring your training reflects current evidence and accepted clinical guidance.

Our 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is designed for organisations whose first aid needs assessment identifies that an Emergency First Aider is required. The course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and is suitable for workplaces with lower-risk activities, including offices, retail premises, hospitality, education and many small businesses.
