Anaphylaxis and Auto-injector Training - Surrey First Aid Training

Specialist training in the administration of an autoinjector taught specifically for your workplace or your school’s needs and requirements.

Both Schools and Early Years Providers have an obligation to put policies and procedures in place for children who suffer from severe allergies. This not only covers First Aid and immediate treatment of a child in anaphylactic shock but also advice on how to create a joined up approach to treat and prevent, including working with health care experts and parents.

This course is only 2-hours in duration or can be completed as an 1-hour add-on to the Paediatric First Aid or Emerency First Aid at Work course.

Who was this course designed for?

 

This course is ideal for all those who have children with severe allergies in their care. This can also be beneficial to individuals with a family member or friend who also has a severe allergy.

 

What is the course content?

 

Course content will vary based on your requirements, but can include;

  • The use of auto-injectors
  • Recovery Position, CPR and treating an unconscious casualty
  • Understanding Anaphylaxis
  • Managing medicines
  • Creating a care plan
  • The treatment of Anaphylactic shock

 

What is the course duration?

 

This course can be delivered as a stand-alone 2-hour course or as a 1-hour add-on to Paediatric First Aid or Emergency First Aid at Work.

 

What is the assessment method?

 

Competency-based training and continuous observation by the trainer.

 

What certificate do we receive?

 

This is an uncertified course.
