This course is a Level 3 Outdoor First Aid course, and the content is based on current guidelines published by:
UK Resuscitation Council
Wilderness Medical Society
Currently accepted guidance and best-practice from medical advisory bodies and published evidence for the treatment of First Aid in a remote or wilderness context.

2 Day Remote Outdoor First Aid 16th & 17th January 2027 (Equivalent to Level 3)
Practical Outdoor & Remote First Aid Training
When an emergency happens outdoors, professional medical help may be some distance away. Having the knowledge and confidence to manage a casualty in a remote environment can make a critical difference.
For over 26 years, Surrey First Aid Training has been delivering practical Outdoor First Aid courses for outdoor instructors, expedition leaders, Duke of Edinburgh Award leaders, forestry workers, scouts, mountain bikers, paddlesport instructors, walkers and anyone responsible for others in the outdoors.
Unlike classroom-based first aid training, this course is delivered predominantly outdoors using realistic casualty simulations and practical scenarios that reflect the environments in which you'll work. You'll learn how to assess, prioritise and manage casualties when emergency services may be delayed or access is limited.
Our Outdoor First Aid course is developed using current guidance from the UK Resuscitation Council together with recognised remote and wilderness medical best practice, ensuring your training reflects current evidence and accepted clinical guidance.
