First Aid Requirements for construction sites

If you have at least 5 employees working on a site, you must have a trained first aider who holds a valid certificate of competence in either:

  • First Aid at Work (FAW), issued by a training organisation approved by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
  • Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), issued by a training organisation approved by HSE or a recognised Awarding Body of OFQUAL/Scottish Qualifications Authority

Surrey First Aid training provides training courses appropriate for the construction industry that are HSE recognised and OFQUAL approved.
