Surrey First Aid Training Ltd have been delivering remote outdoor, expedition and wilderness first aid training courses for over 20 years, and they are leading experts in this industry. They believe that the most beneficial method of learning life-saving skills is through hands-on, practical learning in an outdoor environment.

‘‘The Remote Outdoor First Aid training course is primarily taught outdoors and recreates emergency scenarios to assess the delegates ability of responding to an incident where help is not immediately available,’’ says Tony Riches, Lead First Aid Trainer at Surrey First Aid Training Ltd.

The Remote Outdoor First Aid training course is ideal for anyone working outside in a rural location as the content of the course is delivered following the guidelines published by the UK Resuscitation Council and the Wilderness Medical Society.

‘‘Unlike other first aid courses, we work with delegates to risk assess what accidents could happen while working in their remote location and help them to put an emergency action plan in place. During the course we not only cover specialist injuries, such as chest injuries, but also the more common emergencies which can quickly become life-threatening, such as asthma.

In 2020 in honour on the work that has gone into delivering this unique outdoor course Surrey First Aid Training has been awarded the Surrey Hills Enterprise TradeMark. The Trade Mark Surrey Hills is accreditation and a Mark of local provenance, quality and sustainability.
