"What3words" is an effective and time efficient way of mapping, by taking each 3 meters of the world it will give the location, name, co-ordianates and mostly importanly 3 words. 

For example our office is in Guildford. If you did not know exactly where you were, you could look at the App "What3words" and it would give the road you were on in 3 words.

The 3 words for Parklands Business Estate are:  sends.glory.friend

In an emergency situation, the address is the 3rd and most important information you can give the ambulance service on 999. The first questions you will be asked is 'is the patient breathing?'  and 'is the patient concious'. Regardless of the answer to this question, getting an exact location is time critical, therefore by giving the 3 words to the operator they can then map this and it will come up with a road name, coordinates and address. 

Obviously, if you were in the office you could just look up the road name i.e. on a sign, other buildings, letters to findout the postcode, so using "What3words" is not always going to be neccessary.

Now imagine you are up a mountain? Horse ridiing over the downs, miles from a road on your bike? The benefit of using "What3words" speaks for it's self, once you have those words the operator and ambuance crew can find exactly where you are to the nearest 3 metres.
