Sophie was 5 when during an Easter activity she started choking. Despite reacting with the correct First Aid procedure by her mother, the airway could not be cleared. Her mum had attended a First Aid course a few months prior and battled desperately to help Sophie. However Sophie was unconcious by the time the paramedic crew arrived and despite every attempt, Sophie passed away.

Sophie's mum said " At 5 she was not a tiny tot yet this seemingly harmless treat took my angel away.

"If your children enjoy these chocolate treats, please watch them closely and remind them to sit down whilst eating them or avoid them altogether."

She added, "If just one person reads this and watches their toddler, child or teen extra closely when eating these, then my daughter’s death will not be in vain. I would love to have them removed from the shelves, but I know this will not happen. By asking parents to be extra vigilant is the best I can do, please watch your babies."
