Surrey First Aid Training were amazed to read a story published recently in the Daily Mail about a boy, aged 10, who saved his little brothers life using skills he learnt on a school trip to visit a local hospital. The purpose of the visit was to ease any fears they may have had should they ever need hospital treatment. Amongst many other things, the class were given instruction on how to help someone who is choking.
Louis Edwards managed to remember everything he was taught that day when his 3 year old brother got a commemorative coin stuck in his throat while they were watching TV in his bedroom. Lucky he did, as it saved his life!
