Mental Health First Aider for Early Years and Schools

Mental Health First Aider course, to help you try to understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health problem. 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem in their life time, so learning how to help is really important.

6 hour Mental Health First Aider (for Early Years and Schools)

Surrey First Aid believes that mental first aid and physical first aid should be treated with the same level of importance. We know the importance in the workplace of knowing how to recognise a heart attack, how to give CPR and how to stop a bleed, but yet we do not give the same focus on how to recognise an anxiety attack, how to give First Aid for a manic episode or how to help when someone is having suicidal thoughts. This is our opportunity to change this.

This course has been designed with Early Years and Schools settings in mind for those who work with children to provide an understanding of the role of the Mental Health First Aider and to identify those who require mental health support in accordance with the HSE guidelines.

Training can be delivered with the trainer in your venue or online.
