6 Hour Emergency First Aid for Dance - 24th October 2021

The 1-day Emergency First Aid for Dance course covers the recommended course content as set by the HSE for Emergency First Aid at Work courses. We also tailor the content and training scenarios to your dance environment to ensure the training is relevant to you. Delegates will be given the confidence to act in the event of an emergency whilst waiting for medical help to arrive.
The course covers the content recommended by HSE:

  • Coping with an emergency in the dance environment
  • HSE requirements (including first aid boxes and reporting)
  • The priorities of treatment
  • Resuscitation: Adult, child, and baby
  • Unconsciousness: Adult, child, and baby
  • Control of bleeding and shock
  • Falls and working with gymnastics
  • Treatment of minor injuries with the emphasis on dance including SALTAPS dance injury assessment
  • Choking: Adult, child, and baby
  • Common Paediatric and Dance medical conditions: asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes, epilepsy, febrile convulsions.
  • Head injuries and spinal management.

Our dance courses include FREE First Aid learner resources, Anaphylaxis awareness and FREE venue parking.

On completion of the course you will receive a 6-hour Emergency First Aid certificate, which is valid for 3 years and accepted by OFSTED.

Our public course is held at our exclusive venue in Guildford, and the course runs from 09.30am to 15.30pm. We are Covid-19 compliant, please see our social distancing policy here.

The cost of this course is £100 total per person inclusive of vat.
