Automated External Defibrillator Training

Ventricular Fibrillation (VF) is the cause of most sudden cardiac related deaths.

It is a condition in which the heart quivers rather than beats properly. Once it has developed it is crucial that it is treated immediately if there is to be a chance of successful resuscitation.

The only effective treatment for ventricular fibrillation is defibrillation, a term used to describe the application of a high energy electric shock to the chest of the casualty to restart the heart. It must be performed within just a few minutes of the start of ventricular fibrillation if it is going to succeed.

Here at Surrey First Aid Training we strongly believe in the importance of having a defib in business premises and offer an advice service on how to purchase a defib, annual training on how to use the defib and an after service care package for any questions you have on maintaining a defib in your workplace.
