Terms and Conditions of Business
Our aim is to make it as easy as possible to book a course First Aid and Health & Safety related subjects with Surrey First Aid Training.
Booking a course
Bookings for individuals may be made by e-mail, via the Surrey First Aid Training website, by letter or telephone.
Telephone bookings must be confirmed in writing.
All bookings will be confirmed in writing by either e-mail or post within 5 working days.
It is the customers responsibility to ensure course details are securely received by them.
Quotations are only valid when given in writing.
Booking a group course at your workplace, dates can be provisionally reserved for you, however a booking is only finalised and confirmed at Surrey First Aid Training when a booking form is received.
It is the customers responsibility to ensure the booking form is received to Surrey First Aid, upon receipt the course will be confirmed in writing an invoice raised. If you have not received written formal confirmation within 5 working days you must follow up the receipt of the booking form. Surrey First Aid cannot deliver training without a signed course booking form.
Payment
We reserve the right to withhold our services when payment is not received as per our Terms & Conditions.
VAT
All prices are subject to VAT at the current rate.
Account customers
Our standard credit terms for account customers are 30 days from the date of the invoice.
We reserve the right to refuse credit terms.
Non Account customers
Payment must be made at the time of the booking.
Confirmation of your course
When booking directly online with Surrey First Aid Training, this is an automatic system, it is therefore your responsibility to ensure the email and phone number for your booking is correct. Once your information has been entered, it will automatically add you to the course, even without payment. However you will only receive confirmation via the system as an email if payment has been received. Any problems with you attending the course will be investigated fully. However if the fault is with the address, email address or telephone number you have provided, no compensation will be given under this term of business. To avoid this issue arising please ensure that you check any details you complete on the form before you submit this to us.
Course Transfers
If you need to transfer to another course the following fees apply:
More than four weeks prior to the course start date, free of charge. Only one transfer is permitted.
Between four and two weeks prior to the course start date an administration charge is due.
Less than two weeks notice full payment is due.
All transfers must be taken with in a period of three months from the original course date.
Cancellation
Should circumstances mean you have to cancel your course and are unable to transfer your booking to another course at the time of the cancellation then the following charges will apply:
All cancellations are subject to a small cancellation charge of £5.00
More than four weeks prior to course start date- £5.00 administration charge
Two - four weeks prior to a course start date - 50% of course fee
Less than two weeks prior to course - full fee
ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE GIVEN IN WRITING
Replacement certificate for course, lost or damage
An administration fee applies.
Please note: If you do not receive your certificate within six weeks from course date and you do not report this then you will be liable for paying the administration charge for a replacement certificate. Please e-mail us if you do not receive your certificate within 6 weeks enquiries@surreyfirstaid.com. We will then trace your course registration address and send out another certificate to these details.
Late arrival or missed sessions
If you arrive late for a course, or are absent from any session, we reserve the right to refuse to accept you for training if we feel you will gain insufficient knowledge or skill in the time remaining. In all such cases, the full course fee remains payable. (To conform with Health & Safety Executive requirements for Statutory Certificates, attendance at all sessions is mandatory).

Cancellation by us
Surrey First Aid Training reserves the right to cancel any course if there are insufficient numbers to run a viable course. In such circumstances, you will be given as much notice as possible and the offer of a free transfer to another course date, or a full refund of fees paid.
FAW re-qualification courses
To be eligible to attend a two day Re-qualification Course, candidates must be in possession of a valid First Aid at Work Certificate issued by an HSE approved provider, which is ‘in date’ on the last day of the Re-qualification course.
Guidelines for candidates and employers
The duties of a First Aider can be physically demanding. It is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that candidates are free from any condition which would affect their capability, and that they have the aptitude to cope with an intensive course of study. (We welcome candidates with disabilities for training, but it remains their employer’s responsibility to ensure that they are appropriately supported in their workplace).
